Camping Badiaccia is situated on the shore of the Trasimeno Lake, the lake of Umbria, which name, according to the legend, derived from Trasimeno, son of God Turreno, who met Nymph Agilla during a stay in this area and fell in love with her at first sight. But since it was not possible for the son of a God to get married with a nymph, this unhappiness led him to death.

The complex is equipped with various types of air-conditioned mobile homes to combine the freedom of a campsite with the comforts of a modern holiday village. We also have chalets inside the campsite and a villa with garden for tourist rentals between Tuscany and Umbria.

Lake Trasimeno has always been contested for its strategic position and importance, for its beauty, for the richness of its water and of its land; the tradition of the fishermen blends in with those of the farmers, where the nature meets a body of water rich in history and culture.

Lake Trasimeno is the fourth largest lake on the Italian peninsula, with a circumference of about 54 km; it is situated on 258 meters above the sea-level and it is of alluvial origin. Today Lake Trasimeno offers an uncontaminated landscape where you can admire the peace and the beauty of Perugino’s Paintings, the interesting history of Hannibal’s Battles, the centuries of history carved and sculpted in its castles and towers, the faith of numerous sanctuaries, the art, the popular traditions and folklore.
